Biography

Recipient of five nationally recognized six-year research assessment periods (sexenios de investigación, CNEAI). Co-author of five books and two patents. H-index: 16.

His research has focused on the development and application of optical and acoustic methods for the non-destructive characterization of materials. In particular, he has applied these techniques to a wide range of problems, including the determination of thermal, magnetic, and elastic properties, as well as surface roughness measurement and fatigue detection.

These methodologies have been successfully applied to a broad variety of materials, ranging from ornamental stones (marble, granite, and slate) to metals, composite materials, and graphene.
